Lazy ass doctor's office

12 August 2004
9:36 p.m.

I tried to make an appointment with my general practitioner to talk about getting some bulimia meds. Unfortunately, they must knock off for the day sometime before 4:30pm, cause they weren't answering their damn phone. Assholes. Anyway, I guess I'll call again tomorrow. I'm not really sure my GP is the best person to ask about this, though. From what I hear, most general doctors don't know a lot about eating disorders. So I don't want her to refuse to prescribe stuff or prescribe without knowing what she's doing just because she doesn't know much about bulimia. I know, she went to medical school. Maybe I'm just looking for excuses not to tell her. It would be nice if she could refer me to a psychiatrist, expecially if my insurance would cover that. I don't want therapy at all, though, just meds. And my insurance runs out October 1st, so I'd like to get the meds I need nailed down by then so I can stockpile some.

I would also love love love to go IP just so I wouldn't have any repsonsibility at all for a little while. But I can't expect my parents to pay for it, although they would. But I'd feel bad. We'll see.
