Aruba

So holy crap, big news. I was all bummed out because some stupid girl finally moved into the empty bedroom in our suite, and I was IMing with a friend of mine, and she's like, I know what will cheer you up. Turns out her parents are taking her to Aruba for her birthday in late May and told her she could bring a friend. Well, guess who's going? Man, I am so freaking excited. I've never been to a beach except your basic Atlantic coast beach. Well, and once in Spain. I'm also totally flattered that she asked me. I know I'm her best girl friend, but I kind of thought she would have asked one of her guy friends. This is also a huge trigger to lose as much weight as I safely can. I will be going to the gym at least three times a week til then. And eating reasonable meals and as few snacks as possible. All I've had today is a b/p: popcorn, 2 Lean Pockets, Skittles, Starburst, Twix, Butterfinger, two Cokes. I waited a while to puke it, so it came up well, but I don't know how much I had already digested. Oh, and I made myself a couple of hard lemonades earlier. So healthy, balanced meals and exercising starts tomorrow, hand to God.

I guess this is just how I am, but I also kind of feel like the bottom is just going to fall out of this Aruba thing. I'm a natural pessimist. But I guess if it does I haven't really lost anything, since it's not like I planned this trip or have to pay or anything.

But back to that balanced eating thing.
Meal plans:
Lunch:

  • Sandwich on lite wheat with 1 piece roast beef, hummus, veggies, maybe 1 packet mayo. Or maybe I'll go with ham and mustard. Baked Lays. Banana bread or Rice Krispie treat. Maybe piece of fruit. Tea.

Dinner:
  • Microwaved veggied with chicken. 1 serving pretzels or crackers. 1 apple. 1 pudding cup.
  • Grilled cheese sandwich. Pretzels or crackers, fruit, pudding cup.
  • Other possibilities: soup, Lean Cuisine, stewed tomatoes, salad from cafeteria, Lean Pockets.

Snacks:
  • 1 serving pretzels or crackers
  • Yogurt
  • Apple
  • String cheese
  • Popcorn
  • Granola bar
  • Peanut butter sandwich

There is also going to be lots of water, sugarfree Koolade, and unsweetened tea drinking involved. Starting now.
